KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 (Bernama) -- Tone Excel Sdn Bhd has inked a strategic alliance agreement with the Malaysian Consumer Protection and Welfare Board (LPKPM).
Under the pact, the WOW prepaid SIM card referral programme provider will be LPKPM's VIP business partner while LPKPM will provide support to the WOW programme.
The two partners will co-organise road shows and other events to promote the WOW referral programme. Tone Excel will introduce a new WOW starter pack and SIM card with the support of LPKPM.
"We are targeting to have at least 50 WOW service centres nationwide by year-end," Tone Excel executive chairman Syed Kamaruzaman Shahabudin said after the signing ceremony here Tuesday.
The company is also aiming for 150,000 members by December, up from the current 100,000, he said.
LPKPM president Datuk Seri Sharuddin Awang Yahya said Tone Excel's pre-paid card offers RM100,000 personal accident insurance coverage, commission for selling any telco's top-ups, and income when someone in the user's network tops up their mobile phone.
Tone Excel is a partner of Tune Talk Sdn Bhd, a mobile virtual network operator riding on Celcom's extensive network.
